A Story of Winners... and Losers From One of Ireland's Greatest Playwrights   Two young lovers revel in their passion and joy, blissfully ignorant of the wanton nature of fate. A friend arrives to visit the same day that Helen's minister tries to persuade her to leave her house and move into an old folks home. This beautifully wrought drama by South Africa's best known playwright is sure to leave the audience asking themselves, "when is it the right time to leave our own Mecca?"

So, what the heck is a "Salmagundi?"

The word comes from old-world French. A "Salmagundi" was a mixture of meats, eggs, onions, anchovies and other ingredients put together into a delicious salad or stew; literally a "mixed dish."

While our audiences have come to love The Rep's Community Christmas Carol, we know that there are many more holiday treats out there for you to sample. This year marks the beginning of our "Christmas Salmagundi" series - each year we'll add a different ingredient to the pot, giving our audience a taste from many different views of the holiday season. Who knows what we'll be bringing to the stage next year? We hope you've brought your appetite!
