     A Night Of Unforgettable Stories
What do a snake handler, baton twirler, rodeo cowgirl, tatooed woman and a
homeless person all have in common? They're just a few of the thought-provoking,
hilarious, disturbing people you'll meet in Talking With, directed by
Associate Artistic Director Trish Egan.
On the surface, Jane Martin's play is a
series of monologues performed by women characters of widely different
backgrounds, temperaments, ideas, voices, and, well, quirks. Below the surface,
however, is a common thread of people struggling to find their identity in
our rapidly changing world. In telling their
stories - often more a dialogue with the audience than a monologue- these
idiosyncratic characters amuse, move and sometimes frighten, but they always
speak from the depths of their souls.
"A dramatist with an original voice ... [and] gladsome humor."

--N.Y. Times.
"With Jane Martin, the monologue has taken on a new poetic form, intensive in
its method and revelatory in its impact."

--Philadelphia Inquirer.
