Colm is a simple, poorly educated fisherman who has a passion for the sea, and a penchant for writing simple words and making them seem poetic. Timothea is a woman who is a publisher's assistant facing loneliness and lovelessness in the city of Liverpool in England. After a chance meeting in his remote village, Colm writes to her and she responds. In time she falls in love with the poet she finds in the letters. This is a story about two people who are so different from one another, that when they do get together they find that love does not necessarily conquer all, and that opposites do not always make the best attraction to each other.

A poignant, gentle play that will remain a lovely memory for all those who attend The two character drama, Sea Marks is a perfect fit for the intimate space of the MHCC Studio Theatre - the audience will be close enough to the actors to see and feel every emotion. Sea Marks is a touching work by the late actor and playwright Gardner McKay who starred in the early years of television in the series "Adventures in Paradise."
