Duane Hall
Born the son of a carpenter, his mother's name was Mary.
He was
raised a cowboy and drawn to the theatre by watching old movies and sketch
comedy shows from the 70's. He left the FFA in 1979 and joined the drama
club in High School. In college he met Deb Lund and James Lawrence. Two of
his closest freinds, who he still enjoys working with today. He became a
board member with Sandy Community Players for a while and then moved on to
Portland in the early 80's and worked with PAE, The Phoenix Theatre Company,
the Sumus and others. After 23 years of Stage and TV he can now be seen
regularly performing improvisational interactive murder mysteries on the Mt.
Hood Railroad and working with The Grace Institute, attempting to replace
arts programs that schools have cut.
It was watching old movies like "Animal Crackers" that made him love the
idea of being a performer. There can be no evil in making people smile and
laugh so hard that they feel the sting of pepsi squirting from their noses.
That is my dream.
