David Loftus
David Loftus is a native Oregonian.
David was first seen by the Readers Theatre audience in
November 2005 as General Burgoyne in
The Devil's Disciple. In 2005 he appeared in
the
Shakespeare-in-the-Parks production of As You Like It and
Classic Greek Theatre’s production of Euripides’ Alcestis. He has
sung with the Portland
Symphonic Choir, is a co-founder of the
Bridgetown Morris Men, and has recorded books for Oregon Public
Broadcasting’s “Golden Hours.”
He has done more than a dozen voices for Dry Smoke and
Whispers, the sci-fi detective radio drama that airs on XM Satellite Radio,
and appeared in Willamette Radio
Workshop's productions of Hiro and Liling, The Hobbit, and
The Confessions of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He writes free-lance reviews
for the Oregonian and for various Web sites, and is the author of
three books of his own. Every month, usually on the first Monday, he reads literature aloud in a
"Story Time for Grownups" at
Grendel's Coffee House at East 8th and Burnside.
