David Meyers
David Meyers has been performing for over 25 years on stage
and screen, and in the sound studio. Following performing
arts school, he apprenticed at the Old Globe
Theatre in San Diego (home of the renowned San Diego Shakespeare Festival),
where he subsequently spent several seasons in productions such as
The Three Penny Opera (for which he was presented an Atlas Award for
Best Actor), Moonchildren, Merchant of Venice, and Cymbaline,
amongst others. He has since traveled the country performing in such regional
theater productions as Old Wicked Songs (as Prof. Mashkan), Cobb
(as Ty Cobb), The Freak ( as Charley), The Madwoman of Chaillot
(as the Sewerman), The Crucible (as Rev. Parris), and
Incorruptible (as the unscrupulous Brother Martin). Most recently in
Oregon, David performed the role of Morgan in The Drawer Boy for
Salem Repertory, Pitou
in Memoir, Al in Sideman, Otto Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank ,
and, for Portland Center Stage,
Uncle Jocko, etc in Gypsy, and a variety of characters in a two
different versions of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Among his film and television credits, David can be seen
starring in the independent feature The Wise Ones; in
Men of Honor with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Robert DeNiro; in
Firefox with Clint Eastwood; and in Banzai Runner
with Dean Stockwell. He has also co-starred and guest starred
in the TV films and episodic dramas Final Justice,
Nowhere Man, Under Suspicion, and Terror in the
Towers, among others.
David is also an accomplished voice actor, having performed
dialogue replacement (looping) on a number of major projects for
NBC in Los Angeles. He also has a growing list of commercial
voice credits.
