Luisa Sermol

Luisa Sermol has performed for Artists' Repertory Theater (ART) as Stevie in The Goat, Kathleen in Touch, Maxine in Night of the Iguana, Maria Callas in Masterclass and Terry in Sideman (2002 Drammy award-best actress). Other recent credits include Josie in Moon for the Misbegotten (Coho) and Grand Duchess Christina for the Portland Christmas Revels. Other performances in Portland include Bloody Poetry (2002 Drammy award winner-best actress), Vitriol and Violets, and Lady Windermere's Fan and Withering Looks (Cygnet Theater); Twelfth Night and Taming of the Shrew (Tygres Heart Shakespeare Co.); Ashes to Ashes (Profile Theater), and A Midsummer Nights' Dream (Portland Center Stage). New York/Regional credits include Hamlet (Roundabout); Macbeth (Classic Stage Co.) Romeo and Juliet, Toyer, and The Maids (Williamstown Theater Festival); As You Like It (Colonial Theater), and numerous Off-Off Broadway productions. Luisa has also performed with Aero-Betty, Oregon Symphony's Nerve Endings, Performing Wellness, and is proud to be a mentor for the Haven Project. Film work includes Personals, Zero Effect, and the animated short, Insect Poetry. She trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, holds a B.A. in English Literature from Portland State University, is a drama graduate of the Juilliard School, an instructor of Acting at Lewis and Clark College, and is currently finishing up her M.AT. in Language Arts (also at Lewis and Clark College). She is most proud to be the mother of 7 year old Isabella.
