Stephen has designed sets for the Equity summer stock companies, Dorset Theatre Festival (Vermont) and American Stage Festival (New Hampshire), as well as being on staff with the theater departments of Wheaton, M.I.T., and St. Anselm College. In Portland, he has designed sets for Curse of the Great Eleven at Sowelu Theatre, Freedomland at Theatre Vertigo, and the Tobias Andersen production of A Christmas Carol at Northwest Children's Theatre.
