Tobias Andersen
Tobias Andersen serves as Artistic Director
for Mt. Hood Repertory Theatre Company.
He has directed the MHRTC productions of
You Can't Take It With
You, Born Yesterday,
Huckleberry Finn, A
Thurber Carnival, and Lend Me
A Tenor, and has appeared as The Stage Manager in
Our Town, Drummond
in Inherit The Wind and Walter Burns in
The Front Page. A vetran of
regional theatre, he has been resident artist with such companies
as The Oregon Shakespeare Festival,
California Shakespeare Festival,
Milwaukee Repertory Theatre,
Playmaker's Repertory of Chapel Hill.
Portland appearances include George Pye in Humble Boy, Alexander in Vanya,
(with William Hurt--ART),
Higgins in My Fair Lady (Musical Company), Scrooge in A Christmas
Carol and Atticus in To Kill A Mockingbird (Northwest
Children's Theatre), Charlie in Seascape and Jim in Tales of the Lost
Formicans (Profile
Theatre, for which he won a Drammy for Best Supporting Actor.)
During his Hollywood years, Tobias was a featured actor on such classic
TV shows as Roseanne, Newhart, Knot’s Landing, Little
House on the Prairie and Bonanza. Recent film/TV appearances
include Take My Advice with Wendy Malick and the soon to be
released Feast of Love with Morgan Freeman.
